So if you haven’t heard, the Mitchell report came out today. And if you don’t know what that is, it’s the report put together by Senator George Mitchell that uncovers the apparently vast network of illegal substance use - specifically, performance-enhancing drugs - that has been pervasive throughout Major League Baseball for the last decade. The release of this document reminds me of a question I had at the outset of this investigation: How did this become a Congressional issue? A senator heading up the investigation?
With all of this talk about an “ICE STORM” (buh buh buhhhh) I think it is appropriate to reminisce about good ole January 2005.

Everyone at Bethel knows that wiffleball is the greatest of all intramural sports. This year there are eight intramural wiffleball teams at Bethel, which means that there are upwards of 75 students particpating! With the tournament coming up this week I thought I would take a moment to write a brief tribute to this sport of all sports.

I was all ready to have a quiet, almost non-existent Thanksgiving this year, but then everything changed.
Yeah it sounds sappy, and we always hear it said, but seriously, find time to rest this Thanksgiving break. Hopefully you will be returning home or at least spending the holiday with familiy members. If this is the case, sit back, chill out, and try to appreciate your time with them. I will be the first to admit that it can be much too easy to let your stress (from school or elsewhere) to get the better of you and act, let’s say, less than perfect, with your family or friends.
