|« Last Week of Classes||The Final Push »|
Until this weekend I didn’t know it was possible to get sick from stress. I suppose it has happened to others though. Dizzy after not taking care of my body or personal health, chronically tired, apathetic, lack of appetite, I just stayed in bed…. what a fun way to enter in to the last three weeks of school.
On the bright side, these next few weeks are PACKED with activity.
Last weekend was the student-directed one acts. These plays were directed by two good guys who live next door, communication majors taking a class to get more experience in the director’s role, not just the acting role, and the actors/actresses were so well prepared. I laughed out loud, they were so great.
This upcoming Mother’s Day is the Masterworks Concert. I thought about it yesterday; I could have been a part of the community choir that practiced in the evenings for this event, since I can’t attend afternoon BC practices anymore. Because I really miss singing. I haven’t had to sight read music or concentrate on blending and rhythm for so long, and I miss it. But the Masterworks Concert, where the pieces are always large scale famous pieces by important composers, complete with an orchestra, put on by all the choirs at Bethel and the Newton Community Choir, this concert is going to be great to watch for once as well. I remember from past years putting in a lot of evening hours for this show to come together, and I’m not gonna lie, I look forward to my Friday evening in my mod, rather than in the gym practicing.
Then there is a jazz concert on the Green, and Open Road (Men’s octet) concert…. oh and of course graduation. bleh… I’m not ready. I can’t believe its coming…
