It's not just me. It's the weather also. I won't question the 55 degree warmth though... after 4 years of residency in Kansas, I'm not surprised anymore. And while we're pretending it's still November:I got to see Wicked! This musical (based on the novel by Gregory Maguire) has been one I've wanted to see for so very long. When two tickets magically appeared in the mail (thanks friend) I was giddy. And now one dream is fulfilled. I went to a couple other concerts, keeping in step with my senior to-do list--but there is never ever enough time to take full advantage of the surrounding events.I survived BIFL [Basic Issues of Faith and Life] orals: this booger of an exam is required for all seniors, and I have conquered! And Thanksgiving break--home is always wonderful. I know many friends get bored when they're home, but I really enjoy taking full advantage of having nothing to do. Though that wasn't true this time around, I had plenty of homework. I still have plenty of homework. But that is why we're pretending it is still November. Pretend that I have more than 2 weeks to write several papers and prepare for a few presentations. Welcome to college, my friends. But I'm grateful the work is for professors I enjoy, and who are understanding when my daily work slips a little bit as I catch up with exams and term papers. I'm grateful this work is for classes I learn from--and not just academically, but actual lessons I can put to use in my relationships, faith, and profession. And I'm thankful for a roommate that calls for me to come home after I've put in too many hours studying in the library. And for friends who make sure I take a break at Druber's. Welcome to Bethel College, my friends.
